Our Editorial Standards
How we research, check and update what we publish — and how to tell us when we get something wrong.
Trust is the most important thing we have. These are the standards every Age & Glow article is held to.
Evidence and sources
- Health, skincare and aesthetics claims are based on peer-reviewed research, systematic reviews and guidance from recognised bodies such as national health services, medical regulators and professional dermatology and surgical associations.
- Sources are listed at the end of each article and linked from the relevant sentence.
- We prefer high-quality evidence — systematic reviews and randomised trials — and we say clearly when evidence is limited, early or industry-funded.
- We do not present a single small study, or a manufacturer’s claim, as proof.
How articles are produced
Our editorial team plans, researches and writes every article. We may use digital tools, including AI-assisted research and drafting tools, to help us work efficiently. Every health and aesthetics article is checked against its sources and reviewed by an editor before publication; we never publish health claims that have not been verified.
Medical information
Our content is educational. It is not a diagnosis or a substitute for advice from a doctor, dermatologist, pharmacist or other qualified professional who knows your history. See our medical disclaimer.
Independence
We do not accept payment from clinics, brands or treatment providers to write about them, and advertisers have no say over our editorial content. If we ever publish sponsored content, it will be clearly labelled. See our advertising and affiliate policy.
Updates and corrections
We review articles regularly and update them when guidance or evidence changes; the “Updated” date shows when an article was last checked. If you spot an error, please email hello@ageandglow.com. We will review it promptly and correct it transparently.
